St. John the Baptist and St. Joseph Catholic Churches are dedicated to the growth and catechesis of all the youth in Tipton & Madison County. Religious Education is FREE.
The Religious Education programs at St. John the Baptist and St. Joseph are to give students K-5th grade a strong start in their faith formation within a classroom setting. Our catechists seek to provide a safe, fun and age-appropriate space for the children to flourish in their understanding of our beautiful faith. Please note, Religious Ed. is a requirement for Reconciliation and First Communion candidates that are not currently enrolled in a Catholic School. Classes meet on Sundays. See Schedules.
Many people of all different ages serve as catechists for Elementary Religious Education. You don't have to be an "expert" or "angel" for this role: you just need a love of God and eagerness to share your faith. If you are a high school student, young adult, parent, grandparent, or anywhere in between, and would like to serve our youngest disciples, please contact Shelly Powell, St. John's, or Lucy Neal, St. Joseph's for more information! We are always in need of those who can serve our youth!
